Linear Actuators: Range
KELSTON Linear Actuators
Linear Actuators are applied to meet
the ever increasing demand from
High precision
Repeatable positioning
Micron accuracy
Cleanliness
Reliability
Safety
KELSTON Linear Actuators offer all of these features and are capable of operating in the most demanding
and hostile environments.
Electro-mechanical Linear Actuation systems are replacing hydraulic systems eliminating the cost of continuously running a hydraulic power pack, the Actuator only consumes electricity on demand.
The inherent inaccuracies present in hydraulic systems due to leaky valves and fittings are being addressed by applying Electro-mechanical Linear Actuators.

Steel Production Heat Treatment
KELSTON have designed Linear Actuators for the arduous conditions of
continuous cycling in a potentially hazardous environment as shown on
this Steel Processing Line.
Having developed special actuators for customers over 20 years KELSTON design engineers are creating
a catalogue range of Linear Actuators incorporating all of this expertise.
The range based on a modular design allows a wide variety of build configurations to be selected to
satisfy installation requirements.
By combining worm gears and spiral bevel gears together with single and multi-start lead screws gives
a range of linear speeds from creep to 11m/min. By adding Stepper or Servo motors the linear travel
speeds within this range can almost be infinite.
This standard range will cover Linear Actuators that are required to develop an effort of up to 50kN.
Prime movers can be selected from DC electric motors and AC electric motors through to Stepper motors
and Servo motors.
Control devices such as end of travel limit switches, contact or proximity, or potentiometers or encoders
can readily be fitted.
KELSTON can supply motion control systems to your requirements.
